Caramel + apples: Clever pair
19 AprI brake for Fleur de Sel Caramel Sauce. Which I did at Trader Joe’s recently. And when the stars in my eyes cleared, I looked down and found that I’d drooled (just a little) on the Pink Ladies below. And I had to laugh (just a little).
Clever pairing, Trader Joe’s. Clever pairing.
Thanks, TJ’s.

Halloween at Trader Joe’s: Treat or treat
29 OctOf course – of course! – Trader Joe’s is a great place to stock up for a Halloween party! Even without Halloween-themed items, it’s a no brainer, even for a zombie.
But, Trader Joe’s being Trader Joe’s, there are many Halloweenish goodies for your partying pleasure. Cases in point:
(The picture on the cookies box reminds me of the squirrel that got his head stuck in a Halloween decoration.)
And for the thirsty adult…
I hope that these give you a start in preparing for your Halloween celebration. If you’re on the East Coast, please stay safe this week through Hurricane Sandy. I hope the wind and water subside before Wednesday.
Take good care.
Thank you, Trader Joe’s.

Summer: Savor the flavor. Caribbean Fruit Floes
31 AugI first tried and loved Trader Joe’s Coconut Fruit Floes, giving them a “4-wow” rating. But there are several members of the Fruit Floe family. Judging by the way Caribbean sang for me, it’s a clan with a lot of talent.
As those of you in the U.S. begin your Labor Day weekend, and for anyone in a country sinking into autumn soon, I would highly encourage you to check out these yummy Popsicles. Although the presence of several tropical fruits are identifiable, strawberry takes center stage.
Have a safe and delicious weekend!
Thanks, TJ’s

Mango & Cream Bars: New go-to iced sweet treat
1 JunThis is a major discovery – on so many levels…
1) Transports me to another time: When the ice cream truck clanged down the street, and we ran out with our $1.25 to get a popsicle. My fave was the orange cream dreamsicle. So, mango cream?! Not only does it resonate in the memory zone, but also…
2) Transports me to another place: Somewhere beachy and tropical.
3) Icy cold goodness.
4) And won’t break the calorie bank. Check out the size:
They’re stickless and so small – eight to a box. Each bar contains 60 calories with 20 calories from fat. And it’s all you need to get a satisfying burst of cold sweetness.
