Three of the many coconut options at Trader Joe’s:
What’s your favorite coconut concoction?
Michelle Walton knows good sangria. She spent $100 mixing a batch from a South American recipe. But with a bottle of Maria Ole Sangria from TJ’s, Michelle now impresses her friends for a fraction of the cost. Take 30 seconds to listen to how she does it. She makes it seem so easy! Thanks for sharing, Michelle!
The green beans are delicious. And I love the cauliflower in the mix. But I have to admit, the garlic butter is addictive.
I’m somewhat skeptical of frozen veggies. Often, they cook up limp and mushy. I was pleasantly surprised with this bag of veggie goodness. However, I might be talking out of rose-colored taste buds from the yummy garlic butter.
Thank you, TJ’s!

Trader Joe’s constantly comes up with wonderful items. While I love trying the new offerings, I find there are staples that I buy over and over. I have to have them on hand – TJ “must haves.”
I’d love to hear what TJ products you can’t live without! Please share your faves in the comments.

I had a Chile Lime Chicken Burger for dinner tonight. I cooked it – about 7 minutes per side. I toasted an English muffin as the bread element. Sliced onion, spread mustard and layered pickle rounds.
I thought I’d take a picture of the sandwich beauty in front of me. Then I thought, a bite out of it would be photogenic. Then I took another bite. A few more, and there was only a half sandwich left on the plate.
So, I thought, well, half a sandwich could work, too. After that, I’m not sure what happened, but I think my inner carnivore was unleashed because suddenly there was no sandwich left on the plate.
Here’s a picture of the box and the block of large frozen patties:
There are four in the box. I recommend recreating the scene I mentioned above and enjoying again and again and again and again.
Sorry for the missing photo.
Thank you, Trader Joe’s

A whole chicken that’s been roasted, sitting in its tasty warm juices at the grocery store near you to feed your family instantly for less than $10 is one of the best things about life in the 21st century.
I always wondered, why are these chickens so over-the-top, even dangerously, delicious? Seriously. I used to buy roasted chickens from a nearby grocery store, pre-Trader Joe’s. I would devour those things!
The chicken aroma was almost too much to bear in the car on the drive home. I was hardly in the door when I tore the plastic shell apart and became a beast, chowing on legs and thighs and breast meat, grease flying, soiling napkin after napkin, until being so full that I fell into a poultry-induced coma.
Did you catch the key word to the secret ingredient? “Grease.”
I looked on the nutrition label and before the mention of spice or seasoning, there it was – roasted in oil.
Enter Trader Joe’s version of the baked bird. Yummy seasoning, tender meat, no mention of oil. And if I missed some technical language or small print, at the very least, it wasn’t swimming in oil the way other groceries serve their hens.
The best roasted chicken – delicious, easy and without swimming in oil. That’s why.
Thank you, Trader Joe’s.

A mid-week moment to contemplate inner peas…
Thank you, Trader Joe’s. I feel much better.
And thank you for sharing that moment with me. Now, back to our regularly scheduled snacking.

Another great TJ’s coffee discovery (thanks to the coffee tasting bar): Fair Trade Five Country Espresso.
I like many of the coffees I taste at Trader Joe’s, but I’m always looking for French Roast’s rivals. For me, this is a close cousin – maybe French Roast’s aunt’s kid on her mother’s side. That close.
Sipping a cup of “5C” is a great way to start the day, or end an evening…made even better when paired with a brownie bite or two, perhaps?
Have a great day and the start of a great week, everyone!
Thank you, Trader Joe’s.
